Swine flu is taking its toll in India with its first Pandemic being reported in Pune recently. The same has been spread to other parts of India as well. Presently, 6 death cases has been reported, 3 from Pune, one each from Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Chennai. The government officials must take serious steps to act against these deadly attacks to save our lives and to make our country safe.
The first victim of this pandemic which is becoming an epidemic was reported from Pune, named Reeda Shaikh, a 14 year old school going girl. She was admitted to the hospital due to sore throat last month and was later put on ventilator finally ending up taking her life.
In the same week, on Saturday another death was witnessed due to H1N1 attack from Mumbai. Fahmida Panwala, a 53 year old woman was admitted due to hypertension and diabetes problems and was later diagnosed with the H1N1 virus.
The 3rd death which alerted the country even more was that of Sanjay Tukaram Kokre, 42-year-old teacher who was also from Pune. He died at the Sasson Hospital and was admitted to the hospital after being declared to be affected by the virus by the National Institute of Virology.
NRI from Ahmedabad, the first case from Gujarat was reported on 9th August, Sunday at the Civil Hospital. Praveen Patel was 43 years old and was admitted in serious condition the previous damage which found his lungs to be severely damaged due to the virus attack. His wife has also been reported to be H1N1 positive and is under treatment now.
The fifth case of swine flu in India was that of a 36-year-old ayurvedic doctor from Pune today morning. Dr. Babasaheb Mane was admitted to the hospital due to cardiac arrest accompanied by acute respiratory distress and pneumonia.
A 4-year old boy was confined as the sixth fatality of the deadly virus today morning alerting the entire nation with a wide spread of the epidemic. He was reported to be first victim in Chennai. He died with multiple organ failure even after undergoing dialysis. The boy has been confirmed to be an asthma patient and was admitted to the hospital due to severity of the disease lately.
With this the toll has been rising every minute and more people are rushing to the hospital for testing to ensure their protection.
