An infant and 75-year-old die, toll to 19

Pune faces a critical situation now with two more deaths taking the toll to 12 in the city alone including the death of an eleven-month-old infant and a woman aged 75 today. Early morning death was of the infant, Rutwik Kamle who was taken to Sasoon hospital only when the case worsened after being in a private hospital. He was admitted in very serious condition at the government hospital.

KEM hospital reported the death of 75-year-old lady who was affected by the H1N1 virus. Apart from Pune, the other virus stricken cities include Ahmedabad, Nashik, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram with one death reports each and Mumbai with two succumbed cases.

In India the total positive cases reported has been estimated to be 1,193 with cases increasing as hours pass by. Also, a doctor who survived the flu conveys a special message for all those who are dumb-stricken with the news that 99% of the swine flu patients recover and only one in 1 lakh or thousands die.
